Libe Gritz talks about the upcoming concert by
the Boston Workmen's Circle's A Besere Velt chorus at Yiddish
New York. The concert titled "Sing Out, Fight Back! – A Besere
Velt Chorus!" takes place SUNDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2:45 – 4:00pm At
the Town and Village Synagogue, 334 East 14th Street, New York,
NY 10003. Libe (also known as Linda) Gritz is a leading member,
often a soloist, of the chorus, which sings almost entirely in
Yiddish. She is a long-time member and leader of the Boston
Workmen's Circle, active in Yiddish language and culture as

Rav Myer Loketch has died, ברוך דיין אמת. From
2006 to 2009 he contributed many radio presentations on Jewish
holidays for the Yiddish Voice. Tonight we re-air his
presentation for Hanukkah 2006. We plan a shloyshim memorial
program in Rav Loketch's memory on our Dec. 19th broadcast.
