When it comes to opinions vs scientific facts, there is meant to
be a big difference.

An opinion is a judgment of or a preference for something.
Opinions can be supported by weak evidence or perhaps by no
evidence at all. On the other hand, a scientific fact only exists
because of a vast amount of supporting evidence. At least, that's
how things are meant to be.

In this episode, Tony and Tayo bang heads, considering whether or
not we base modern science on fact or opinion. Tony takes the
conventional position (of course) and thinks that modern science
is all it is supposed to be. Tayo takes a more jaundiced view (of
course?) and believes that modern science is mainly personal
prejudice and biased opinion merely parading as
science.

What's your take on this? Do you–like Tony–have unwavering
trust in white-coated boys and girls, or are you more like Tayo,
cynical and indisposed to take their word for it? Let us
know
