How far should science go with human & animal cross breed experiments?

The boys on The TNT Talk Show discuss a somewhat troubling topic
about just how far should human & animal crossbreed
experiments go?

Science fiction writers often portray scientists accidentally
creating monsters when playing God with human and animal
crossbreed experiments. Of course, the creation of these hideous
creatures always means the demise of everyone else.

Whilst these fiction writers purposely elicit an emotional
response to this type of story to gain sales for their particular
stories, scientists in the "real" world justify these sorts of
experiments as benefitting humankind.  Many scientists
insist that doing these experiments will lead to a better
understanding of human biology, resulting in remedies for
currently incurable diseases.
