competitor Macy Callaghan joins The Lineup to talk about her big
season. She dissects her success on the Challenger Series and how
she’s made three straight Finals, changing her competitive mindset
from past seasons, building up her mental game, traveling with a
good crew of friends, and rediscovering her love of surfing. She
looks back at her road to the CT, growing up in Avoca Beach,
Australia, getting a scholarship for competitive swimming,
ultimately choosing surfing as her career path, her long
relationship with Billabong, burnout and taking breaks from
competition to film content, and winning the World Junior Title
before rising all the way up through the ranks. Finally, Macy looks
forward to the future, her great chances of requalifying for the
CT, her feelings on surfing Pipeline, her thoughts on the new
