The Gift of Not Knowing Yourself: Learning Alongside the Apostle Peter

There's no getting around it: we have to live with ourselves (and
other people have to live with us, too!). How are we, as
Christians, to go about "getting to know ourselves," and does
this pursuit ever become a problem? If there are two guardrails
that help keep us on the "road of life," one guards against
plunging off the cliff of self-ignorance and the other guards
against smashing against the cliff of self-obsession. We'll
consider that second "rail" tonight, through a close look at the
life of Simon Peter in the Gospels.
