Beauty as Soul Care: Caring for the Garden of Your Soul

What is beauty and why is it important to our spiritual lives?
How does beauty help us as we do the work of caring for our
souls? We will look briefly at the theology of beauty, consider
its importance in our own individual lives and in God's greater
story of redemption, and will think about how to apply this
information about beauty to the work of soul care and the concept
of "caring for the garden of your soul." During the course of the
talk, you will be given a few minutes to contemplate the garden
of your soul, so listen prepared for this bit of contemplation
with a journal, sketchbook, or scrap paper to help you in this
process.
