The Screwtape Letters, a series of fictional letters from one
demon to another, is one of C.S. Lewis's most widely read books.
While the diabolical correspondence was a figment of Lewis's
imagination, we can still learn many true things about the nature
of evil, of human self-deception, and, I will argue, of God
himself. This lecture begins a three-part series that will cover
different aspects of the book.
