She's Gotta Have It (1986)

Today we bring you our discussion of Spike Lee's 1986 film "She's
Gotta Have It." Our guest Leah Sweed joins us to talk about such
things as why Lee's film inspired the name of our podcast, the
feminine gaze and what is it, even (but we're pretty sure Spike
Lee achieved it), how to begin to think about the black gaze,
