Thank you for tuning in for another episode of Life’s Best
Medicine. Dr. Brian Lenzkes is joined by two special guests on
today’s episode—his wife, Lanell Lenzkes, and marriage
therapist, Dovid Feldman. Dovid started his career as a
computer/technical entrepreneur but switched career paths later
in life in order to help people have successful, healthy
marriage relationships. Dovid is a licensed Associate Marriage
and Family Therapist as well as a licensed Professional
Counselor. He earned his masters degree in Counselor Education
from Northeastern Illinois University and earned a BA in
Sociology from Grinnell College.

Just as it is with physical well-being, there are general
guiding principals for maintaining a healthy marriage
relationship. Why do people fall out of love or become bitter
toward their partner? Dovid says that the number one reason is
lack of gratitude. Therefore, one of the most important things
Dovid helps his patients with is learning to appreciate their
spouse.

In addition to hearing from Dovid about his methods and
experiences working with couples, Lanell and Brian discuss
their own relationship in light of the principles Dovid brings
up. Along the way, the trio discusses love languages, the
differences between dating and marriage relationships,
eliminating negativity (disrespectful speech, criticism, etc),
others-centered action, and building a mindset and environment
of positivity.
