Thank you for joining us for another episode of the Low Carb MD
Podcast. Dr. Joseph Feuerstein studied Business Management at
Cambridge, went to medical school at the University of London,
was a doctor for the Israeli Navy, did his residency in Family
Medicine at Stanford, did his fellowship in Integrative Medicine
in Arizona, is an assistant professor at Columbia University, and
practices Integrative Medicine at Stanford.

In our discussion with Dr. Feuerstein, we discuss neuropathy, how
to practice as a clinician without relying heavily on
prescription drugs, the idea that ‘not every diet will work for
every person,’ using nutrition and natural remedies as a first
round of defense with patients, the effect that stress can have
on blood sugar, cannabinoids, acupuncture, and chronic pain, the
endocannabinoid system, gut microbiome testing, and how to think
correctly and helpfully about your gut microbiome.
