Though we've come a long way, we still have a long way to go when
it comes to gender issues in the travel industry.


Iris, my guest for this interview, is fighting against that with
her business wmnsWORK.


Iris Serbanescu has a decade of experience supporting
owner-operated businesses in the luxury, adventure, and tech
sectors. 


Having visited 45 countries, she is an adventure travel
enthusiast and champion for gender equity in the tourism
industry, as proud founder of wmnsWORK, the tourism industry’s
first global, virtual business accelerator for women/non-binary
early-stage entrepreneurs. 


She is also founder of B2B sales agency By Iris, established to
help experiential tour operators and hotels develop meaningful
industry partnerships. 


Iris was emcee of global International Gay and Lesbian Travel
Association Conference in Toronto in 2018, was nominated for PAX
News’ Personality of the Year Award in 2019, and was also a
founding board member of Young Travel Professionals Toronto.
