"A young woman to look up to." That perfectly describes today’s
guest, Paulina Maria Venezia Molteni. At just 20 years old,
Paulina is already deeply involved in a variety of organisations
and has launched several of her own projects. It’s no surprise
that she has recently won the prestigious Young Women in
Public Leadership Award at the regional, district, and
international level! The award issued by Zonta International,
recognizes young women aged 16 to 19 who demonstrate leadership,
dedication to public service and a passion for creating positive
change in their communities. In the podcast Paulina shares what
the award means to her and emphasises how grateful she is for the
chance to demonstrate how much you can do while "just being a
student".

She is an active volunteer with several environmental and human
rights organisations, including Fridays for
Future and International Justice Mission (IJM). Among
her many achievements, she staged a play about femicides,
organised a queer art exhibition to support emerging queer
artists and advocates for women and people of colour in STEM
fields.

Stay tuned to learn more about Paulina’s inspiring projects and
her future plans. For young women eager to make a difference, the
next application deadline is 31 January 2025. Don’t miss the
chance to apply and be part of this empowering initiative!

A small correction regarding the content: the people's initiative ‘Zukunftsentscheid’ mentioned in the podcast needed 10,000 signatures in the 1st phase in January and received 23,316, in the 2nd phase 65,835 signatures were needed to win the initiative, in the end as many as 106,374 signatures were handed over. The referendum has now been launched and will take place in autumn 2025. In order to get Hamburg's climate future on the right track, all Hamburg residents must then sign the referendum on the future.
