Running Kodiak Cakes and Families with Joel Clark and Cameron Smith

We are joined this week by Joel Clark and Cameron Smith of Kodiak
Cakes. Joel is the CEO and Cameron is the President and
Co-founder of one of the tastiest brands around, Kodiak
Cakes! 


This interview was scheduled before coronavirus had made its
mark, so by the time we chatted Joel and Cameron were well into
the swing of the work-from-home lifestyle. We talked about how
their workflow has changed, about the benefits of being at home
with their families, and how Kodiak Cakes is staying open. 


Two great Today's Dad definitions are added to the mix this week.
Joel and Cameron have four kids each, so they know a thing or two
about being a Today’s Dad. Joel’s definition focuses on the
balance of being a friend and a parent to your kids and building
respect with them. Cameron’s definition focuses on being
present-understanding what your kids are going through and
connecting with them on common ground so you can understand them
better.
