Episode 290: Inequality is the basis of relationship

People need things from other people. And the medium through
which value is exchanged is a relationship. When the value of the
proposed exchange is strictly equal, no transaction occurs -- as
this would actually be a net loss for both parties. No
transaction, no relationship. This suggests that inequality is
the basis of relationship, as it is the unequal exchange of value
that motivates transaction. I will explain more in this episode.
