sky is mostly obscured from view due to a bulge in the galaxy known
as the “zone of avoidance.” Astronomers are now exploring this vast
area for various technosignatures from possible galactic
civilizations. An interstellar mission is now being planned to
investigate alien artifacts and confirm extraterrestrial life but
there is still some apprehensive containment of information by NASA
which has a monopoly on the truth about the cosmic imperative.
