1972, this Eastern Airlines flight crashed into a swamp near Miami
International Airport due to a malfunctioning landing gear light
and other distractions. The accident resulted in the death of 32
people, making it the second deadliest single aircraft disaster in
United States history.
But that's not all - after the crash, strange stories began to
circulate amongst the airline community about ghostly encounters
with the dead crew of Flight 401. And it gets even more eerie -
undamaged parts from the crashed plane were recycled into other
Eastern L-1011 Tristar jets that seemed to produce the largest
concentrations of hauntings and sightings of the dead
crewmen.
