After two years, double L7 Resonators deploy is now
officially over! 

Niantic Social is now Niantic Campfire! Campfire will still
be available in Ingress, but in addition, a separate app will be
released soon. 

Niantic would like to thank all the agents who have tested
Niantic Campfire in the open beta so far. The ability to create
new groups in Campfire will be temporarily disabled. Inactive
Campfire groups has be removed? as of June 23, 2022. All active
Ingress groups will remain on Campfire and owners/admins will
continue to have full control over the groups. Your Campfire map
will not display any Ingress groups or events until further
notice. Regional chat will be temporarily removed. Finally,
Niantic will be introducing a Choose Your Own Adventure
experience in the near future, led by K... Stay tuned for more
information and instructions on Campfire. 

Niantic has announced that starting with Ingress 2.95
scheduled for mid-July, Ingress will require Android 8 and iOS 14
to run. 

In a new statement about their gameplay policy enforcement,
Niantic stated they have "invested in becoming better at
observing cheating behaviors, and can now more reliably pinpoint
these activities with higher speed and accuracy, preventing
legitimate players from being punished incorrectly. As a result,
we will be ramping up enforcement against these behaviors across
our games, and rolling out our improved approach to anti-cheat."
These changes will be implemented across all games, starting with
Pokémon Go.

event weekend, and Munich will be the only city in which NIA
