Are Sunday, Christmas & Easter Evil? - Responding To The World Mission Society Church Of God

Jordan talks about recent conversations he has been having in the
YouTube comments with members of The World Mission Society Church
Of God (WMSCOG) - Sometimes referred to as the “mother god cult”
- about Sunday, Christmas and Easter. One of the initial
assertions that members of the WMSCOG will make if you encounter
them is that attending Sunday church services or celebrating
Christmas and Easter are “pagan” practices which are sinful and
idolatrous. Jordan looks at principles laid out by Paul in 1
Corinthians 8 and 10 concerning “food that has been sacrificed to
idols” to explain why the WMSCOG’s condemnation of these things
is in error.


The principles Paul teaches in 1 Corinthians show us that in
Christ we are free from such scrupulous restrictions and rules.
To the believer in Christ whom God has made pure, “all things are
pure” (Titus 1:15​)— and that gives us the freedom to worship God
and celebrate the gospel on any day.
