Oh my goodness--Let's talk about social media pressure on moms.
No generation of mothers before us has had social media pressure
screaming at them about every single facet of their motherhood.
This pressure can feel suffocating at times.
Sara and I had a really wonderful and insightful conversation
about what social media pressure looks like in our own motherhood
journeys and how we are dealing with it in our own way day by
day.
Quotable quotes:
Sara: "If [viewing someone's social media is] bringing out envy,
pettiness, annoyance—that’s not a reflection on what they’re
doing. That’s stirring up something inside of me. So maybe that’s
something we can work on in ourselves and set boundaries when it
comes to social media."
Brittany: "You’re not a bad person for wanting hearts and
likes and validation. But you are already worthy. You are already
a mom who is trying her best and you don’t have to have the
hearts to tell you that you are worthy and that you are a good
mom."
