Savannah is a labor and delivery nurse, mom to two rambunctious
toddlers, and fiber arts enthusiast. For the past two years she
has been travel nursing all over the US with her little family,
working while her husband (and most incredible support) stays
home with the kids.

She is intimately acquainted with the growing pains of juggling
professional ambitions with the joys and demands of motherhood,
while still trying to dedicate time to the hobbies that fuel her
spirit.

Savannah and I explore the different narratives about work that
we bring into our motherhood, beginning with how we both were
raised in communities where stay at home moms were the norm (even
the morally correct choice) and how these narratives affect us
now that we are mothers.

Savannah is the full time breadwinner in her family and her
husband is a stay at home dad. We talk about cultural roles,
expectations for men and women surrounding working outside the
home, mom guilt, and adjusting the "good mom" narratives we tell
ourselves.

Love this conversation!
