On this episode, Dennis sits down with SCT Instructor of The
Brick Wall – Stopping Crime on Our Roadways, Brian Konopka. Brian
Konopka is a Highway Criminal Interdiction officer that works a
series of our nation’s Interstates. Konopka brings ten years of
law enforcement experience and has invested over seven hundred
hours continuing to train in his field. He has personally seized
dozens of kilograms of narcotics, including over one hundred
sixty-five pounds of cocaine, hundreds of pounds of marijuana,
millions of dollars in United States Currency, and thousands of
cartons of contraband cigarettes. Konopka was the recipient of
the Drug Enforcement Administration, Drug Interdiction Assistance
Program, Largest Criminal Highway Interdiction Cocaine Seizure of
2021.


Today, Brian talks about what made him want to become a police
officer, his early career, how he got into interdiction, what to
look for while out on the road, how to talk to and treat people,
