Tracy continues to look back at her very first season and
presents to you, her listeners and co-learners, another
'reprisal' of one of her very first episodes.

Tracy 'revisits' Constantinople: a city known today as Istanbul.
Constantinople was once the seat of power for three empires
spanning a timeline of more than two millennium. Also spanning
two continents, this city was a gateway, a crossroads between
West and East which had always been 'open for business' but
in 1453, it suddenly became 'closed until further notice.'

Tracy encourages you to 'join the dots' and 'make connections' as
she shares her perspective on why Constantinople was a 'catalyst'
not only for European change but also for a new world order.

History is...a matter of fact or perspective? School Leader and
author of the 'Stories to be tolled' poetic narratives, Tracy DW
attempts to explore this question through her podcast series
about the British Empire and Britain’s colonial past. By inviting
you to share her learning journey, Tracy advocates a more global
approach to understanding history. Presenting learning about the
topic in a way that is thought provoking, imaginative and
engaging.
