Marty asked, when, circa 1980, one of his fishing buddies began
building rods out of a clandestine material designed for
incognito aircraft. Not only was the SR-71 born, but the
fishing world changed forever with the introduction of carbon
fiber, aka, graphite, as the fundamental material in rod blanks.
