Spearfish, South Dakota was the site of a fly fishing
kidnapping-mystery. On an idyllic afternoon in the nearby Black
Hills, philanthropic fly angler, Marcus Bevier, found himself in
the crosshairs of what turned out to be a case of mistaken stocking
foot identity. Marcus was just out trying to hassle a few trout in
his home waters when the day turned into the fly fishing equivalent
of the Shawshank Redemption. Well, that may be a bit of an
