Ishmael Ensemble frontman on his love for Berlin and experimenting with sound

Ishmael Ensemble is a Bristol-based
ambient-jazz-electronica outfit that defies being pigeonholed
into only one genre. We sat down with band leader Pete Cunningham
and bassist Jake Spurgeon to talk about what inspires them
musically and why they love playing in
Berlin.


Ishmael Ensemble released their debut album, “A State of Flow,”
in May of 2019. They are currently recording a new EP and
planning a concert tour for 2020.
