KC Locke has become one of the UK’s most successful music video
directors, working with many of the big stars of British grime
and hiphop, including AJ Tracey, Aitch, Pa Salieu, and Stormzy,
and making some standout music videos. He has also done it on his
own terms, building an alternative to London-based music video
production in his hometown of Manchester. So we got together with
the Mancunian maverick to find out how it happened, and what
makes him tick.
