Today's Episode Dr. Raj talks to Marlena Diedrich about her journey
after a traumatic birth experience and how this served as the
catalyst for her founding of Acts of Grace, a non-profit
organization dedicated to providing personal care items and
organizing events that foster connections among expectant mothers
on bed rest. Today’s Guest  Marlena Diedrich earned her
Bachelor’s degree from Colorado Christian University in Sports
Medicine and became a certified athletic trainer. She had the honor
of being a head athletic trainer at the NCAA and Olympic level, as
well as for NASCAR. After her experience as an athletic trainer,
she became a physical therapy assistant and worked at an outpatient
orthopedic clinic.  Her husband Joe and her live in Grand
Junction, Colorado. She has a 15-year-old daughter named Ellie and
a 13-year-old son named Cal. Her current career is serving as the
Director of Events at Girls on the Run located in western

Raj is a quadruple board certified physician and associate
professor at the University of Southern California. He was a
co-host on the TNT series Chasing the Cure with Ann Curry, a
regular on the TV Show The Doctors for the past 7 seasons and has a
