Terrible Sons - Hold Your Light Up High

Ōtautahi/Christchurch husband-and-wife, Lauren and Matt Barus, as
Terrible Sons share their new single and video ‘Hold Your Light
High’. The release follows ‘Sunset Swimming,’ and 'Tomorrow
Always Comes', the first new music since their much-lauded third
EP,  Mass (2021).


Matt says the track came about "reading Reginald Dwayne Bett’s
book of poetry Felon and thinking of our broken prison system in
New Zealand where Maori make up 52.7 percent of the prison
population despite only making up 15 percent of the population of
the country was the stimulus for this song. We wanted to hold
that story and then look at hope.
