Let's discuss the 1963 epic comedy It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.
It's a huge and sprawling movie with a cast as indulgent as the
title. Nearly every comedy star on the planet at the time is in it,
and the film is a slapstick extravaganza. On one hand it's a
monumental achievement in comedy, on the other hand it's a bit long
and bloated and the slapstick doesn't always land right side up.
It's a strange piece of cinema from a strange period of film
