ANJA SCHNEIDER LAUNCHES “CLUB ROOM: BACKSTAGE” PODCAST SERIES WITH
INTERVIEWS ON THE IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON TOURING
ARTISTS, PROMOTERS, LABEL OWNERS, DJS AND PRODUCERS. Berlin-based
Anja Schneider has been an figurehead of electronic music for 20
years. First cutting her teeth presenting radio programming for
“Love Radio” at the Love Parade for Kiss FM she later worked with
Radio Fritz presenting “Crazy Club” broadcasting live every
Saturday night from the biggest club events in Berlin including the
closing of seminal club E-Werk in 1997. Schneider has been an
omnipresent force in the city ever since. Her “Dance Under The Blue
Moon” radio show began in 2000, running on the Fritz network until
2017 when Radio Eins asked for Schneider to reinvent the radio
concept for a new audience. The result being Club Room, launched 3
years ago as a weekly live broadcast which is currently syndicated
worldwide via 25+ FM and digital radio stations with 100 episodes
available on-demand via iTunes, Soundcloud and Mixcloud. “Club
Room: Backstage” flips the usual format of Club Room with Schneider
ditching the turntables in favour of a microphone as the lauded DJ,
renowned talent scout and trailblazing label owner of Sous Music
gets to grips with the opinions of industry heads as they discuss
the most pressing issues effecting the electronic music right now.
This debut “Club Room: Backstage” episode features a 45 minute
discussion on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the various
groups whom make up the music and nightlife industry, featuring
interviews with Patrick Bodmer of globetrotting DJ duo M.A.N.D.Y,
Ellie & Timo from ://about blank club in Berlin, founder of
Mobilee records and member of the Association of Electronic Music,
Ralf Kollman, and DJ/ producer Camea whose new album “Dystopian
Love” was released on 13th March just as the Corona Virus crisis
struck hardest in Europe. Club Room: Backstage is available now via
