Back in July 2020, Kirk made a special episode of his video games
podcast Triple Click all about the music of Final Fantasy
VII. It was basically an episode of Strong Songs, it just ran
in a different podcast feed.

Now it's July 2022, and with Strong Songs on break for the month,
it seemed like a good time to run that episode in the Strong
Songs feed. So, here it is!

Original Show Notes: July 16, 2020

It’s time for a new segment called “Hey, Listen!”, where Kirk
takes listeners deep inside the music for a given video game.
This first (and, as it turns out, only) edition focuses on 1997’s
Final Fantasy VII, as well as some of the new arrangements from
2020’s Final Fantasy VII Remake. What makes the original game’s
music so special? What new musical ideas are introduced in the
Remake? And why is Aerith’s theme so magical? Put on your
headphones for this one, and turn up the volume.

Featuring multiple tracks from Final Fantasy VII (1997)
composed by Nobuo Uematsu, as well as the following Uematsu
compositions re-arranged for Final Fantasy VII Remake
(2020):

"Prelude" arranged by Yoshitaka Suzuki

"Airbuster" arranged by Tadayoshi Makino

"Main Theme from Final Fantasy VII - Sector 7 Undercity"
arranged by Shotaro Shima

"Aerith's Theme - Home Again" arranged by Shotaro Shima
