Episode 2: Human Lyre

In this case, a cat, who just happens to be a French sir, visits
the hospital for routine lab work prior to a dental cleaning. He
finds himself diagnosed with a condition that could have gone
unnoticed had pre-anesthetic lab work not been performed. Lauren
and JJ discuss specific types of lab work and what the results mean
to veterinary professionals, as well as the surprising controversy
of whether lab work should be done at all. Seriously??? The ladies
also discuss the importance of checklists as presented in Atul
Gawande’s 2009 book The Checklist Manifesto.
