#10 Top 5 tenses

Today, I wanted to spend some time
on tenses. What do you think the top 5
tenses are in English?


Here is my list:


1. Present Simple (for habits and the future)


2. Present Continuous (for right now and the future)


3. Past Simple (for events in the past)


4. Present Perfect (for events that have started in the past and
are still relevant now)


5. Future simple (for future events and predictions)


Of course there are many tenses in English - 12 to be exact. And
if you want to
take Active and Passiveas
two separate categories then it's 24! But for the
most part you can be understood using the list I
have shared above.


Maybe you'd like to master Past Continuous and Present Perfect
Continuous as well, just to add a bit
of flare to your language - especially
if you love English:)
