Eclipse is Rock's complete package. Growin' Up Rock was lucky
enough to catch up with the Swedish band in Atlanta to learn what's
brought them here and what's in store for the future. Eclipse has
released three albums that I absolutely love on Frontiers
Records: Bleed and Scream (2012), Armageddonize (2015), and
Monumentum (2017). On a rare trip to the US for an appearance at
PowerProg USA, a progressive power metal festival, singer Erik
Mårtensson, guitarist Magnus Henriksson, and drummer Philip
Crusner of Sweden's Eclipse were kind enough to share some of their
earliest influences, how they approach writing for different
projects they are involved with, and their philosophy on recording
to create these sonically awesome Eclipse records. It has occurred
to us that Sweden must be putting something in the water, because
there are a ton of killer hard rock and metal bands coming out of
there these days. As you will hear from our conversation, it may
just be the fact that all those kids whose parents were deep into
hard rock and metal are finally coming of age. With incredible
melodies, screaming guitars, great vocals and huge choruses tailor
made for an arena or stadium, you're in for a treat because Eclipse
is the total rock n roll package. Everyone’s Got a Rock N Roll
