Jonny interviews Tara Bell about a recent spate of anti-trans and
anti-queer violence and protest in local public school districts,
with a particular focus on what's going on in the Anna-Jonesboro
school district. In addition to school systems not being in
compliance with Illinois' "inclusive curriculum" mandate, these
schools are insufficiently addressing the safety and human rights
of their queer and trans students. In the back half of the show,
Jonny talks with Michael Coleman, the Student Program Director of
the SIU LGBTQ Resource Center about the events planned for the end
of LGBTQ History Month, including the fabulous Night of Noise on
November 3rd. We also get to learn a little more about the
fabulousness that is Michael Coleman!
