Elden Nelson (AKA Fat Cyclist or Fatty).

Elden Nelson is the author of the popular Fat Cyclist blog, a
23-time finisher of the Leadville 100 MTB race, one of the hosts of
the Leadville podcasts as well as the Marginal Gains podcast. Elden
on his love of the Leadville 100 and the town of Leadville; “Maybe
it’s kind of the same way I love riding my hometown trails more
than I love riding just about anywhere else, I’ve done the trails
in Quarter Canyon hundreds of times now because I can do them right
out the door and it’s not like I see or experience anything new
while one doing it, but the cumulative memory and joy is like ‘this
is literally my happy place, this is my home’. And Leadville has
the same sort of feel as well. Plus I do love the town, and I do
love the intensity of the race, and honestly, I kind of enjoy that
I know it so well and people do want to ask me questions about it.
