Bob Boughton, Associate Professor at the University of New
England has been working on education programs in Timor Leste. He
was impressed with the work of the Cuban literacy brigades and
succeeded in bringing a Cuban educator to an Aboriginal community
in Willcania. The pilot project has thus far proved to be
eminently successful, and could be applied to other remote
Aboriginal communities.
