If we are going to encounter Jesus, We must encounter Jesus on the cross. The complete mission and purpose of Jesus was the cross. And only at the cross do we fully get to grasp all that this life in Christ has in store. Without the Cross there is no new life, no hope, no indwelling spirit, and no freedom.
Table Talk Questions:
1. What is harder to believe: that Jesus forgives all your sins or that He erases all your sins? Why? By the way, both are true!
2. Why did Jesus have to die on the Cross? Why not just forgive us of all our junk?
