Hillary Clinton set to visit Charlotte sunday, Protesters matching in Atlanta and Charlotte, Keith scott's family releases cell video of shooting

The gun police say they recovered from the scene of Keith Lamont Scott's shooting in Charlotte, North Carolina, was loaded, a source close to the investigation tells CNN. The source says investigators recovered from the weapon fingerprints, blood and DNA that matched with Scott. The source says the blood most likely got on the gun after the shooting.

The family of Keith Lamont Scott has released cell phone video, recorded by his wife, that shows the moments leading to his fatal shooting by police Tuesday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The video is the first publicly released footage related to the shooting, which spurred days of protests in Charlotte.
"Don't shoot him. He has no weapon," Rakeyia Scott can be heard saying. The first portions of the shaky video appear to show a number of police officers surround a vehicle in a parking lot.

A man repeatedly yells for someone -- apparently Keith Scott -- to "drop the gun."

"He doesn't have a gun. He has a TBI (traumatic brain injury)," Rakeyia Scott says. "He's not going to do anything to you guys. He just took his medicine."

Ted Cruz endorses Donald Trump.

Ted Cruz endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency Friday afternoon, a stunning turn of events after a contentious primary filled with nasty personal attacks and a dramatic snub at the Republican National Convention.

"After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump," Cruz wrote in a Facebook post.
"A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican nominee, and I am honoring that commitment. And if you don't want to see a Hillary Clinton presidency, I encourage you to vote for him."
"I am greatly honored by the endorsement of Senator Cruz," Trump said in a statement obtained by CNN. "We have fought the battle and he was a tough and brilliant opponent. I look forward to working with him for many years to come in order to make America great again."
The move -- three days before Trump's critical first debate with Clinton -- comes as the Trump and Cruz camps have moved closer in recent weeks.
Trump's vice presidential nominee Mike Pence played a key role in bringing Cruz into the fold. Pence and Cruz traded multiple messages, then spoke at length once on the phone and again in person, when Pence visited Capitol Hill a few weeks ago, a source close to Pence said.
