Two people were killed in a murder-suicide at UCLA on Wednesday, prompting a campuswide lockdown and forcing hundreds of terrified students to hide in buildings.

The situation was contained by shortly after noon, and there was no ongoing threat to to the campus, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck said. He said police found a weapon, and no suspects remain at large.
UCLA said the campus reopened Wednesday afternoon. Classes were canceled for the rest of Wednesday, but are expected to resume Thursday.
Beck said the shooting took place in a small office in the engineering building. He said he did not know whether the dead were students.

Three words are hanging over the final days of the Democratic presidential race: Bernie or bust.

"When you say Bernie or bust, that means if we don't get Bernie, we're just not going to automatically vote for the demon because you're saying the devil may be there," said Billy Taylor, who is organizing a coalition of Bernie Sanders supporters to protest at the Democratic convention here in July.
Sanders has inspired a movement, but it's unclear whether he can control it. Or if he wants to.
After the final wave of states vote next Tuesday, Sanders has one decision to make. His supporters have another. And many insist they will not fall into line behind Hillary Clinton.
"You can't expose the corruption of the political system and then expect us to get behind that same political system," said Gary Frazier, a leader of a group called Black Men for Bernie, who is also organizing Sanders supporters here in Philadelphia.

In sworn statements released this week as part of a federal class action lawsuit, former employees complained of unethical sales techniques, unqualified instructors and widely unsatisfied students."Far from providing a 'complete real estate education,' as advertised, Trump University personnel only provided enough information to get students to sign up for the next seminar or program," said a statement from Corinne Sommer, who described herself as manager of the events department for six months in 2007. She said Trump University instructors used high pressure sales techniques, no matter the financial situation of the students.
