Recently, comedy deity Patton Oswalt wrote an essay in Wired magazine. In it, he argues that the internet, once the bastion of the nerdy, has actually harmed nerd culture. By making it so easy to stay on top of whatever pop culture obsession you have, it has made a generation of nerds lazy, flabby and gasping for air when they get to the top of a nerd-staircase. Dan thinks this line of reasoning has legs, while Dustin thinks this is the equivilant of shaking your old man cane at the internet and telling it to get off your lawn. What do you think?
