This conversation is pure soul medicine.
Raven Rae, recording artist, performer, and
author of Butterfly Language joins me to talk about music,
healing, and the courage it takes to become who you really are.

We explore how pain can become poetry, how sound can carry truth,
and how self-love is not a destination but a daily practice of
remembrance.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re still somewhere between who you
were and who you’re becoming, this episode will feel like a deep
exhale.

Raven Rae is an eclectic recording artist, performer, author, and
speaker who bridges the gap between the classics and the
contemporary. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Raven got her
start singing in the church and received her musical training
from the Cleveland School of the Arts and Columbia College
Chicago. Raven released her first Ep, Borderline, in 2019, where
she shares her story and explores societal themes rarely
discussed surrounding mental health in the black community.
Followed by the release of her second album, "Metamorphosis," in
September 2020. Centered around her “caterpillar to butterfly”
transformation throughout her self-care journey, her third album
“Believe in Love”. Released in June of 2021, about her self-love
journey, and her fourth album, Discover Me released in 2024.
Raven is the author of Butterfly Language, an interactive musical
memoir available on Amazon.
