Gordon Strong was inspired by friends to take up home brewing,
launching a veritable hobbyist career. He quickly found his way to
the BJCP, the Beer Judge Certification Program, until he became its
president. In the interim, others have taken the helm, but Gordon
has kept his pet project, the evolution of the Style Guidelines, to
himself. As Grandmaster Judge, he travels the world gathering the
information that keeps the compendium alive. In the podcast, he
