produced by Bachelor of Arts students at the University of Music
Lübeck. Franziska Gottwalt and Finja Laurisch decided to interview
Finja’s singing teacher, Dr. Julie Silvera — a jazz singer, voice
teacher and choir director born in Jamaica, later raised in the
United States and now living in Hamburg. In this episode, Julie
gives us an insight into her musical biography and the diverse
influences on her way to becoming a jazz singer and teacher. She
