#S19 Tom Lubbe of Matassa – Cuvée Romanissa 2019

This is a special episode for more than one reason. First off:
It's not every day that we have a natural wine legend from
Roussillon in our Viennese podcast studio. Also, this is our
first ever episode in English, so please bare with us as we
struggle a tiny bit here and there. Due to the language factor,
we've decided to make this a special episode, though it is in no
way sponsored.


Tom Lubbe shares his thoughts and opinions with us in this
episode in his very open and honest way. We cover a myriad of
topics, from growing up in South Africa and New Zealand to his
first stages in Bordeaux and South Africa, falling in love with
wine and receiving a very thorough education and finally
realizing that something needs to change and he might have to be
the one to do it. We chat about soil health and organic matter,
the challenges of growing vines in Roussillon, how important it
is to be connected to nature through food & wine and SO much
more.

in Vienna because of Weinskandal's very own natural wine fair
"Naturwein im Reaktor". The current vintage of Cuvée Romanissa is
€ 32,50.
