Stefano Boeri became internationally recognised with his
award-winning "Bosco Vertikale" (vertical forest) high-rise in
Milan. What does he think of the experimental "prototype" today,
ten years on? Boeri is an all-rounder among architects: He runs his
own office, was editor-in-chief of the architecture magazines Domus
and Abitare for six years. He is an exhibition curator and
professor of urban planning at the Politecnico in Milan. He also
put his architectural career on hold for three years in order to
become actively involved in politics. About the relationship
between the two disciplines with the same character, he says:
"Attractive, delicate and crucial." In this episode, he reveals why
he designs houses not only for people, but also for trees and
birds.
