Wendelin von Gravenreuth is a seasoned Forestry Investment
Expert. His core competence lies in the strategic development and
global management of sustainable forestry investment portfolios,
combining institutional investment expertise with deep sectoral
knowledge.



Wendelin von Gravenreuth holds an MSc in Forestry from the
Technical University of Munich and brings a strong academic
foundation and international perspective to his work. Early in
his career, he held positions at the European Forest Institute
(EFI) in Joensuu, Finland, and the Confederation of European
Forest Owners (CEPF) in Brussels, Belgium, gaining valuable
experience at the intersection of policy, research, and forest
management.



In 2014, Wendelin joined MEAG, the asset management arm of Munich
Re, where he was responsible for the strategy, acquisitions, and
portfolio management of the forestry asset class. Over the
following decade, he played a pivotal role in expanding MEAG’s
global forestry investments into a large-scale, sustainable
portfolio.



In 2024, he left MEAG to join his family’s forestry and
agriculture business in Affing, Germany. He also currently
advises the Viessmann Generations Group, supporting the
development and management of their global forestry investment
portfolio.
