and darkness are like yin and yang, there is no light without
darkness and vice versa. It really is enchanting to think about how
something so magical and intangible can also be very technical and
tangible." Profession or vocation? A simple question for Rara Rina,
whose father, a shadow puppet maker, laid the foundations for her
fascination with the beauty of light and shadow in her early
childhood. Her current approach embraces the idea of composing
space and light through storytelling and emotional responses to the
space in which her work and the viewer find themselves. Each space
has a unique relationship with its architecture and the people who
