Statement: A human being, when you want something from them, is
much more intimidating than an email! In this episode my new guest
is Gaber Holch, an intercultural leadership coach, consultant,
author and speaker specialized in East-West executive assignments
and business relations. An expat since age 4, a former diplomat and
China-based since 2002, he has advised, coached and trained leaders
for 100+ clients in 25+ countries. He currently splits his time
between his Shanghai base and international jobs, mainly in the
Asia-Pacific and Europe. We discuss the importance of reflection,
observation skills, and empathy when working in different cultures
and explore the differences between working in the East and West,
the challenges of cultural agility, and the need for culture-free
spaces in multinational companies. Our conversation highlights the
role of observation and awareness in effective communication and
decision-making across cultures and new ways of working and
leadership in the context of a rapidly changing world. It
emphasizes the importance of self-organization, autonomy, and
mastery in teams. **Gabor gave light to my following questions:**

necessary for effective communication and decision-making? How can
multinational companies create culture-free spaces to foster
