In this episode of the Baloise KASKO Talk, Philipp Marty, Head of
New Business and Partnership at Baloise Switzerland and Nikolaus
Sühr from KASKO welcome James Kench, Head of Insurance at
carbon insurance specialist Kita (cover holder Lloyd’s of London)
as a guest.

Kita’s mission is derisking investments and enabling companies to
invest in carbon removal projects and technologies and scale by
offering a portfolio of insurance products. The goal is that the
reduced risk in carbon credit transactions leads to greater flows
of upfront capital and accelerates the pace of creating a
positive climate impact and reversing some of the negative
impacts of carbon emissions.

Listen to the podcast to find out why James believes that
insurance is key to unlocking the potential of institutional
finance and what it needs to get into the sector and scale
programmes for a maximum positive impact for climate-positive
investments.
